Failure has such a negative connotation, especially in today’s competitive world. But failure truly is a cornerstone for success. It is the catalyst for breakthroughs and truly a sign that you are challenging yourself to step out of norms and into new possibilities. I love this quote by Charles Kettering, “An inventor fails 999 times, and if he succeeds once, he’s in. He treats his failures simply as practice shots.” Think of every bump, misstep, or mistake as a practice shot that gets you one step closer to realizing your potential. What are your goals for the month ahead? Plot a few different routes to hit those goals and use what you learn along the way as opportunities for growth and lessons learned. Be willing to keep shooting for the goals – you might not get every shot – but you are in the arena and that’s what’s important.
