Dr. Wayne Dyer said, “Go the extra mile. It’s never crowded there.” So how do you go that extra mile? I believe it’s about doing the unexpected for your clients, friends, and family. It’s about creating surprise, not just satisfaction. It means going beyond what is required or expected. As markets and the economy shift, now is the time to show up in the world with your clients, family, and in your community with an “extra mile” attitude, work ethic, and commitment to service. What’s amazing is that once you do, you’ll raise the bar for those around you, and you’ll start attracting more “extra mile” people into your sphere and “extra mile” experiences into your life!
Something to Think About
The New York Times conducted a survey earlier this year, which showed that most consumers believe that customer service is at an all-time low. However, consumers also said they are more empathic towards employers who can’t find workers or whose businesses have suffered in recent years. Now is a good time to lead by example and exceed expectations and help those around us do the same.
