Father’s Day will be here in a blink. It is a day of honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society. From coaches and mentors to grandpas and step-dads, there are so many different father figures in our lives who deserve a celebration!
A child is said to be the clearest reflection of their father in the world. He may only be a dad for a while but he is a child’s hero forever. A child who is loved by their father becomes a parent who loves their child. Great fathers are not born but molded by their fathers and paternal mentors and influences. Father’s Day is the perfect time of year to give these loving and caring men a glass and thank them for their years of wisdom and unconditional love.
Weekly Activity
This year for Father’s Day, celebrate the father in your life or your husband or brother with a letter. Tell them what their life has meant to you and how it has molded you to be a better person.
Something to Think About
Thanking dads and those father figures in our life is not a once-a-year event. A great quote from Abraham Lincoln that describes fatherhood perfectly is this: “No man stands taller than when he stoops to help a child.”
