Be Thankful

Eckart Tolle said that acknowledging the good you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance. With shifting seasons come changing perspectives, and it’s natural to feel self-reflective throughout the last two months of the year. Those going through a difficult time may need a reminder that they are strong, resilient, and have much to be thankful for. Sometimes those who have had a lot of success need to think about the people who have been supporting them from the beginning. No matter what your story is, remember these Oprah Winfrey words, “Be thankful for what you have, and you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never ever have enough.” Those are powerful words to live by.

Something to Think About
Every Thanksgiving, we gather around the table to give thanks for our family, friends, and the good food that we’re about to eat, but what about the rest of the year? Starting a daily practice of gratitude can help you recognize the positive in your life and prevent you from focusing on the negative. So, if you’re feeling down or just need a little pick me up, spend a few minutes each day thinking about the many blessings in your life. It’s sure to put a smile on your face.

Weekly Challenge
This week, in addition to being thankful each day, practice being thankful aloud when you are with others. Let people know what you are grateful for and that they are valued in your life.
